DLS appoints a new Director
We are very pleased to announce that Mr. Aydin Djemal has been appointed as the new Director of Disability Law Service.
In a statement Aydin said ‘I am enormously excited to be taking on this role at Disability Law Service. Despite the challenging environment the sector faces, DLS has the special combination of skills, talent and determination required to continue its evolution in the coming years. Our community, disabled people across the country, will require the support of DLS as much as ever before as the impact of reduced funding for services is felt. It is the will to meet this need that drives me personally, and I recognise immediately that this passion is shared by everyone here at DLS.’
‘Particularthanks must go to Linda Clarke (retiring Director) for the extraordinary and tireless work she has put in for over a decade. That DLS is a modern forward-thinking charity, yet grounded in compassion and social action, is a testament to her skill. She leaves DLS in as rude health as it has ever known.
Aydin Djemal was previously Chief Operations Officer at Pembroke House. He has worked for Citizens Advice, the Big Life Group and the Carers Federation. He hails from Manchester and has lived in London since 2009.
