Are you passionate about equality and access to justice? Are you looking for a leadership role in a small, dynamic charity?
The Disability Law Service (DLS) provides a highly valued service, challenging the inequality and poverty of disabled people by securing for them free and equal access to their legal rights and entitlements. Our small but expert team provides confidential and free legal advice and a casework service for disabled adults, their families and carers.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead the organisation into the future, to maximise our potential and to ensure we deliver the best possible outcomes for the people we exist to support. The Director will need to provide strategic leadership and vision as well as day to day management for the staff, and crucially will be responsible for diversifying our income base and initiating new partnership projects. The Director will also be responsible for reporting to the Board of Trustees.
Experience of working in a legal practice or law centres is desirable, but not essential. More importantly, we are looking for an inspirational leader with a pragmatic approach to income generation and financial management.
