The London Marathon 2010
Running the London Marathon is a truly life changing event. Not only because of the tremendous personal achievement, but also for the experience; the electric atmosphere, the support from your fellow runners, and the tens of thousands of people who cheer you home.
It is an enormous challenge, and whatever your age or fitness thousands before have proved that with motivation and adequate preparation, it can be done !
The Disability Law Service has a limited number of Golden Bond places for the event. In order to apply we ask you to complete the attached registration form and pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £1500
Each year the Disability Law Service provides thousands of disabled people with free legal advice and information via our advice line. We also provide a vital casework service that has helped to achieve rulings that have benefited the lives of all disabled people. With the Disability Rights Commission being absorbed into the Equality and Human Rights Commission the demand for our unique service has increased even further.
The majority of our runners have not found it difficult to raise funds. To make it easier we provide a free personalised online donation page for each runner via justgiving.com, a site that allows you electronically collect payments and sends out thank you messages via email. Others have also got their employers to match donated funds to reach their target.
